Mindfulness Skills - The Key to Academic Success & Greater Well-Being.
Portola classrooms include Dynamic Mindfulness curriculum as part of our students’ social-emotional learning. This research-based and field tested curriculum covers the five core competencies of social and emotional learning: self-management, self-awareness, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness. Our students actively participate in mindful movement, breathing, and centering activities that help them manage stress, increase their focus, and improve self-control.
